David believes that simple truth with everything in him: grounded men become devoted husbands. Intentional fathers raise secure children. Healthy leaders shape healthy homes and communities. But when a man loses his identity, his purpose, or the confidence to become who God created him to be, the effects ripple through generations.

That’s why David has dedicated his life to helping people discover who they truly are — helping fathers become the men their children need, helping sons develop an unshakable sense of identity, and helping leaders create cultures where people flourish.

David continues to work closely with Dr. Andy Garrett, whose mission is to “introduce people to themselves.” Together, they believe that true authenticity begins with the Author of all things. When people understand who God created them to be and begin living in alignment with that design, much of the internal friction they have carried begins to fall away.

As Lead Coach for Dr. Andy Garrett’s True North O.S., David has helped individuals, families, and organizations develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and authentic leadership. His coaching centers on helping people recognize the unique gifts, strengths, identity, and purpose God has already placed within them.

David is also an entrepreneur. His flagship product, StatGuardPlus, grew from a simple idea into a nationally distributed product found in more than 3,700 retail locations, including The Home Depot, Lowe’s, and Grainger. Those years taught him invaluable lessons about grit, perseverance, failure, leadership, and faith — lessons that shape much of what he teaches today.

He is the author of the upcoming book Guardians of Grit, a message especially close to his heart: equipping parents — particularly fathers — to raise sons who are deeply rooted in their God-given identity, resilient in adversity, courageous in conviction, and prepared for the pressures of today’s culture. David believes every son carries unique riches placed within him by his Creator, and one of a father’s greatest privileges is helping those riches emerge.

Whether speaking from a stage, coaching leaders, recording music, or sitting across a coffee table, David’s mission remains the same: helping people become who God created them to be.

As he puts it, “The Author created your authenticity — and when you discover all that God has fashioned within you, you can begin living with greater passion, purpose, and fulfillment.”

David lives just outside Nashville, Tennessee, with his wife, Lisa. They are the proud parents of two adult children, Parker and Katherine. He is also a recording artist whose love of music continues to remind him that some of life’s deepest truths are better sung than spoken.
